FatCow Review

Posted by Review Hell | Last updated on 15 Sep 2014

I’ve heard a lot about FatCow and how their hosting sucks but I wanted to see for myself if there were any truth to that. I know they’re EIG-owned so I kinda knew what to expect but I got a shared hosting account regardless. I paid $100+ last January (annual plan, I didn’t have a choice, since they didn’t have a monthly billing option) and I gotta say, it’s like I paid more than a hundred bucks for one year’s worth of cow dung supply.

MochaHost Review

Posted by Review Hell | Last updated on 10 Oct 2014

MochaHost is a web host that likes to brag about their “awards” and “guarantees” on almost every page of their website. Unfortunately, all of these things are just for show. Their service is ridiculously bad and they have some of the most incompetent support staff in this industry.

iPage Review

Posted by Review Hell | Last updated on 18 Jun 2015

iPage is a well-known web hosting company owned by Endurance International Group (EIG). EIG owns brands like Bluehost, HostGator, FatCow, and many more. Since iPage is EIG-owned, I knew what to expect but I decided to try them anyway just for the heck of it. This iPage review in three words: absolutely awful experience.

JustHost Review

Posted by Review Hell | Last updated on 19 Sep 2014

Let’s cut to the chase. JustHost sucks. That’s kinda expected because they are an EIG company, but I didn’t expect they’d be a whole lot worse than their sister companies (e.g., Bluehost, HostGator). I’ve had a client with them and for half a year, we’ve had nothing but trouble.

One.com Review

Posted by Review Hell | Last updated on 19 Sep 2014

One.com is one of the more popular web hosts in Europe. I’ve been curious about them since early 2013 and I’ve been checking them out quite frequently since then. Their prices are a bargain and it seemed like their plans are perfect for small sites, so I finally decided to try them out last October 2013. Unfortunately, the quality of their service that I experienced was nowhere near what they promised!

HostPapa Review

Posted by Review Hell | Last updated on 4 Sep 2014

HostPapa is a web hosting company who takes pride in being eco-friendly. They claim their servers are powered by certified renewable energy sources and that’s good if it’s true. If you want to help the environment in your own small way then you might want to consider green web hosting… but if it means you’d have to go with a company like HostPapa then I suggest you pass on the opportunity to make a difference, at least for now.

Bluehost Review

Posted by Review Hell | Last updated on 25 Jan 2017

Last year, I signed up for Bluehost mainly because they had a nice Black Friday deal. At that time I needed a host for one of my new projects so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to try Bluehost! Unfortunately things didn’t go so well — I figured that they overload their servers and their support team definitely sucks.

HostGator Review

Posted by Review Hell | Last updated on 18 Jun 2015

I’ve technically been with HostGator for at least 3 years and I manage different types of accounts with them. HG was good the past few years but the quality of their service has declined recently. They’ve deteriorated so much that I’m currently in the process of helping at least 10 of my clients transfer to another host.

Crazy Domains AU Review

Posted by Review Hell | Last updated on 19 Sep 2014

I used to manage a client’s account hosted by Crazy Domains Australia and let me be straightforward with this — I’ve had nothing but headaches with them. It seems this company takes being a bad web host seriously and continually strives to excel in that aspect.

WeLoveServers Review

Posted by Review Hell | Last updated on 10 Oct 2014

While searching for a “small” host to use for some test projects, I came across an exclusive WeLoveServers. I found an amazing offer no one could refuse — 50GB of space and 1TB of bandwidth for $7 a year or $15 for three years! Too good to be true? Read on to find out!
